CAIRO – 29 December 2017: Atletico Madrid`s head coach Diego Simeone announced on Friday the squad that will face Al-Ahly on Saturday evening at Borg El-Arab stadium, under the slogan “Peace against Terrorism”.

Atletico`s squad included all the main players like Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres, Koke and Ian Oblak.




Urguanian defenders Diego Godin and Jose Jimenez alongside the Argentinean midfielder Nicolas Gaitan were excluded from the travelling squad to Egypt.

Atletico resumed their training sessions in Spain before Al-Ahly`s clash as revealed by the club`s official account on Twitter.




Al-Ahly and Atletico Madrid will stay at the same hotel in Borg Al- Arab city in Alexandria, before their friendly match scheduled for Saturday, under the slogan “Peace against Terrorism”.

Al-Ahly’s Executive Director, Sherein Shams, announced the details of the arrival of Atletico Madrid and said to a radio program, “Atletico Madrid will arrive in Egypt on Friday and will not hold any training sessions before the match; they did not request any trainings.”
